Bath fireworks: where to enjoy Bonfire Night

Autumn is a wonderful time to plan a Bath city break. As the city’s many parks and surrounding Cotswold hills turn from green to rust red, Bath is at its most beautiful. Even better, if you time your arrival at the start of November you can enjoy Bonfire Night and a colourful array of Bath fireworks lighting up the city.

With Bonfire Night fast approaching, anyone planning a visit to Bath to coincide with it should make the most of the wonderful Bath fireworks taking place this year.

To help, we have put together a list of the best Bath fireworks to help you decide where to celebrate.

Bath Rotary Club Fireworks Display

Saturday, 3rd November 2018, from 5.30pm

With the fireworks set off from The Rec right in the heart of the city, this magical display lights up the historic buildings of central Bath. You can enjoy these fireworks from anywhere in Bath city centre with a decent view towards The Rec or for the full experience buy tickets here and enjoy the fireworks from The Rec itself.

Light up Lansdown at Bath Racecourse

Friday, 2nd November 2018, from 5pm

Taking place at Bath Racecourse on the hill above the city, this family friendly event sees a fantastic firework display set off to a backdrop of a giant bonfire, funfair rides and food stalls. There are a range of ticket options available here.

Walcot RFC Firework Display  

Friday 2nd November 2018, from 6.45pm

Hosted by Walcot Rugby Club at the top of Lansdown Hill above the city, enjoy this colourful fireworks display and bonfire served up with a hog roast and hot dogs. There is plenty of free parking at the nearby Park and Ride car park. No tickets are needed as payment will be taken on the gate – £5 for adults, £2 for children and £14 family passes.

Fireworks at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park

Monday, 5th November 2018, from 5.30pm

Half way between Bristol and Bath, Avon Valley is hosting its hugely popular annual Fireworks with Music Spectacular once again. The fireworks are just the pinnacle of the evening’s festivities which includes a funfair, a fire walk, sparkler area and lots of fabulous food and drink. Buy your tickets here.
