Bath Christmas Market
Drawing visitors from all around the world, the Bath Christmas Market which runs from the 22nd November to the 9th December is arguably the best place to get festive in the UK. With over 180 mini wooden chalets lining the winding streets of Bath city centre, you won’t be short of Christmas gift inspiration or festive snacks. This year, admire the array of cheerful decorations made using recycled plastic bags and bottles, designed by Christine Leech, creative director of Marie Claire Runway Magazine.
Bath on Ice
Get your skates on because the ice rink is back this Christmas in Bath from the 16th November until the 6th January. This year Bath on Ice’s rink is 39 per cent bigger than last so there’ll be plenty of room to show off your moves – or enough room to fall without knocking over a crowd of people! With adult tickets at around £11 and children £10 to glide around the rink for an hour, you’ll be well deserving of a hot chocolate, with a shot of Baileys, afterwards.
Glow-in-the-dark mini golf
Fancy yourself a Tiger Woods in the making? Well, this Christmas in Bath try your hand at glow-in-the-dark mini golf located in Victoria Park from the 16th November until the 6th January. Pick up a club and enjoy some festive competition on the crazy course for a night. It is just £6.50 for adults and £5.50 for children.
Carols at Bath Abbey – A Christmas Celebration
‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ to A Christmas Celebration at Bath Abbey on Saturday, 15th December, at 7pm. The audience will be able to sing along with the Bath Abbey Choirs and the Melody Makers as their angelic voices fill the Abbey accompanied by Shean Bowers on the organ and directed by Huw Williams. Christmas pantomime
By hook or by crook you must get to the panto this Christmas in Bath! EastEnders’ Paul Nicholas takes centre stage as Captain Hook in Peter Pan at Bath’s Theatre Royal from 13th December to 13th January. Brimming with singing, dancing, humour and colourful costumes, this swashbuckling Christmas show will have the whole family roaring with laughter.
