The newly restored 19th century cemetery lodge sleeps a generous 10 guests making it the perfect holiday rental for large groups of friends or family wanted to explore Bath and the surrounding countryside.
With four bedrooms – three doubles and one twin – and a truly plush sofa bed, two bathrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen and dining room and a welcoming lounge, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and feel at home.
Uniquely among Bath’s holiday rentals, the lodge benefits from being surrounded on three sides by the lush greenery of Locksbrook cemetery meaning it has no immediate neighbours, offering its garden a level of privacy rare in a city centre. Guests can enjoy a barbecue or al fresco dinner without being overlooked.
Locksbrook Lodge is a lovely 25-minute stroll along the River Avon riverside path into Bath’s historic city centre where you’ll find the most famous sights such as the Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey.
Or you might choose to walk the 10 minutes to Bath’s Royal Victoria Park – a magnificent green space of trees, ponds, open lawns and the Botanical Gardens, with the famous Royal Crescent at the other end. Above the park is Bath Approach Golf Course, an 18-hole course set right in the midst of the city.
The house is conveniently placed two minutes’ walk from Chelsea Road, a friendly bustling local high street with a great range of tempting cafes, delis, bakers and other stores for a great brunch and any essentials.
